Folks,
I am in the final of my Dommie restoration, the engine start and run well.
How is the best way to check dinamo/magneto works as expected ?
Any suggestion ?
As it starts and runs well...

yes, I have it.
It see some movements but I am not sure what is the right value to read and when.
Is not better to meter the voltage somewhere ?

Dynamo/Magneto
These are two totally separate machines. They just happen to be mounted on the same platform and they are both connected 'mechanically' to the engine. The magneto produces a spark that runs the engine, if it easily starts the engine and does not fade out after a few miles (when it gets hot) then chances are it is good condition.
Dynamo-this charges the battery which in turn runs the lights (and horn). The output of the dynamo is controlled by the regulator, it can be original with coil/bobbins and points or modern electronic.Readings from the ammeter on the bike are not to be trusted. The battery voltage is 6 rising to 7.5V on charge. (12V-14.5V). Read it with an analogue meter. Cheap digital meters give random readings as they pick up ignition. Or a decent Automotive digital meter. Any dynamo that has been out of use for some time might need 'flashing'. Disconnect D and F at the dynamo. Take a live wire from the battery, touch it momentarily to the F terminal, removing it will cause a short Flash. Reconnect D and F. or you can check out A O Services web site-Fitting instructions for the V reg.

Alan, thank you for the…
Alan,
thank you for the hints.
May I ask to post the link to the AO website?

... the magneto is probably fine. The dynamo is a totally separate electrical device - do you have an ammeter fitted?
