Looking to rebuild a three speed CS gearbox for my 1927 M18. Need a mainshaft with splined clutch centre rather than earlier taper type. Also need a 17T gear as shown in the attached pictures as mine has chipped teeth. Any help gratefully received.

I was hoping you might have had some replies about replacement gears for your gearbox as I may need some for my 1927 M18 CR gearbox! Strip down due soon.
I met a stallholder at Netley Marsh autojumble who explained how to repair gears by softening the case hardening, then using some special welding rods to repair the damaged areas.
After which it needs re-hardening, where he recommended getting some of the dirtiest old oil from a diesel engine, adding some carbon powder, heating the repaired gear to red heat and quenching it in the old oil/carbon mix. He has done this and the gear has given him good service for four years.
Or take it to a specialist who can do this professionally!
