16h Sump Drain Plug

Can anyone tell me where the sump drain plug is located on a 1946 16h?

Is it the bolt that is in the lower frame cutout?

Mine is a brass screw with a single slot for a screwdriver.

It is located just above the sump guard (If you have one) on the lower front right hand side of the crank case. (RHS)

I'd send a picture but it is wrapped up for Winter.

No, that is a grub screw to block an oilway drilling. It's the hexagon headed 1/4" BSP plug just to the left. You basically have a 1938 pattern engine, as used by the WD Big 4. If you can't find a manual, then this may help.

Thank you Richard, it’s all making sense now. I can see this bolt is part of the lubrication system. Just got to get the bolt out and fingers crossed the bike will run later today….
